What We Do

What We Do
The Foundation for American Track Cycling, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is supporting junior development programs and assisting nationally ranked cyclists to gain valuable international racing experience representing the USA in international competirion. Through fundraising events, donations and the sales of Foundation for American Track Cycling branded apparel, we build our Grant Fund and then award grants to athletes and velodromes who present a vision that aligns with the Foundation's charter.

Programs

Juniors Rule!
The Foundations premier program is the Juniors Rule! Development Racing Series run in partnership with the Los Angeles Velodrome Racing Association (LAVRA) at the Velo Sports Center velodrome in Carson, CA. Juniors Rule! offers track racing experience for riders 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-16 year old age groups.

FATC Madison Cup

 
For juniors and endurance track riders, learning to race the Madison is critical to be safe and successful racing in Europe and in UCI international competition. The FATC Madison Cup is a series for Elite and Development riders conducted under UCI rules and replicates what riders will experience internationally.

Monday Night Sprints
Supported by FATC sponsor High Desert Nutrition, Monday Night Sprints provides a Match Sprint tournament format where riders are matched up based on 200m times.

Donations
You can have a direct impact on an athletes’ progress by making your tax-deductible donation to the Foundation for American Track Cycling's Grant program. Your donation is combined with others (and on occasion is matched by other generous donors) to build the fund that supports FATC programs. Companies in the cycling industry are welcome to donate products that can assist athletes in training and racing.

Every year, we review grant submissions and then award grants based on the submission criteria.

Apparel
Show your support for track cycling athletes by wearing the Foundation for American Track Cycling's branded apparel. Proceeds from apparel sales support the Grant fund and FATC operations.
